u_net has attended the third edition of the Black Soil International Film Festival in Rotterdam. Thanks to the ever present/always supportive Sasha Dees - and Philip Powell, I had the chance to connect with the crews from Punch Records , Brighton Hip Hop festival and Rhythm of the Line - International Hip Hop & Graffitti Film Festival (Berlin). Let's built was the goal of the people assembled included film directors Kevin Fitzgerald (Freestyle:The Art of Rhyme)and Antonio Guzman (Representando). During the 3 days event u_net had the chance to sit down and interview Lord Finesse (DITC) - mp3 16MB, english.

Check the documentary Letter to the President, a video whose analysis of the evolution of the conditions in the black communities in the US through the words of the Hip Hop Generation goes perfectly along with u_net's efforts in writing his book, It's Bigger then Hip Hop.

John Sinclair icon of the 60s protest movement in the US was among the featured guest of a massive 3 weeks event held at COX18 called BHAP, Beat Hippy Autonomy and Punk, where he co-hosted with u_net and the support of the COX18 collective his weekly radioshow for Radio Free Amsterdam. On Inguine MAHgazine # 7, jacklamotta and u_net reflect on the evolution of the US and Italian prison system. Dialogue on the prison system - pdf only italian - higlights the impact of The War on Drugs, the condition of detention, the private/gorvernmental exploitation of prison labor, the collateral impact of massive detention on families and community. u_net has teamed up with Esa aka The Funky Prez (italian MC), Marco Borroni (author of Rime di Sfida) and Davide Acosta (Film Maker) in the production of a video documentary on italian Hip Hop. u_net has been involved in the project to write a text for the introduction focused on the birth of Hip Hop culture in the South Bronx which will be narrated by Esa over original footage.

Hip Hop History Files #2 (1973-1979): Afrika Bambaataa e la Zulu Nation.(italian) The second article of the Hip Hop History Files series deals with the evolution of Bam from gang warlord to master of record and the importance of the Zulu Nation as a source of love, unity, peace and overstanding(italian).

Obiettivo condiviso: la costruzione di una piattaforma comune di scambio d'esperienze e di artisti. u_net collabora con Esa aka The Funky Prez (MC), Marco Borroni (autore del testo Rime di Sfida) e Davide Acosta (regista) per realizzare un documentario sull'Hip Hop in Italia. u_net ha scritto il testo per l'introduzione sulle origini della cultura Hip Hop nel South Bronx che sarà speakerato da Esa, voce narrante. Le parole di u_net e la voce di Esa saranno affiancate da filmati originali dell'epoca.
